Attending a Tutoring Session
If you are scheduled for an on-campus session, meet your tutor in Room 119 at the scheduled time. If you selected an online appointment, log in to TracCloud to access the online meeting link. Tutoring sessions last a maximum of 45 minutes. If you need more assistance after the session time is up, you can schedule a follow-up appointment.
Canceling a Tutoring Session
If you know you will miss your tutoring session, please cancel it ahead of time, as this will allow another student to benefit from that time slot. If you made your appointment online, you can cancel by logging in to TracCloud, selecting the upcoming appointment you wish to cancel, and clicking on the “X” in the corner of the appointment box. Alternatively, you can please contact the center at as-tutors@ctstate.edu or 860-253-3164 to cancel.
Students may submit an essay, written assignment or project, PowerPoint presentation, or a Blackboard discussion post for feedback from a professional writing tutor.
Instructions:
- Complete a submission form for your paper.
- Fill out all required form areas.
- Check your email for your submission feedback within 2 business days.
Please note that tutors will not rewrite, edit, or fix your paper for you. Instead, they will point out areas where you can improve your writing and offer recommendations and links to resources that will help you revise it.
If you have questions about the feedback or would like further assistance, we recommend scheduling an on-campus or online writing tutoring session.
